Alumni Complex
As part of the University's 40th Anniversary celebrations a complex project was initiated by the Association to help ease the accommodation problem on campus. The two storey complex has
conference facilities, rooms for students and visitors alike, a business centre, as well as other recreational facilities.
To brace the challenge of funding such a multi-million project in the face of dwindling resources, members of the association resolved to contribute 1% of their monthly salary to the Alumni Fund for the initial five years when the project started.
However this laudable idea of raising money to complete the project has become the preserve of only Alumni working on UCC campus contributing to the Complex Trust Fund. Though members of the Police Service came on board, at the expiration of the five year initial mandate they stopped. As a means of ensuring the completion of the project the Association with guarantee from the University has initiated moves to secure a loan to the tune of Twenty Eight million Ghana Cedis ( GH¢ 28,000,000.00) from the Prudential Bank Ghana Limited to complete the project.
It is anticipated that members will buy into this noble idea and contribute either cash or in kind to the Complex Trust Fund so that the project can be completed on time. For those who want to donate cash this can be done through the UCC Alumni Complex Trust Fund; Account Number: 3021010045410, Ghana Commercial Bank, UCC Branch or UCC Alumni Association Account Number 3021130000521, Ghana Commercial Bank, UCC Branch.
